  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 2 cups thin stick pretzels
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup raisins

To make this dessert, make two bags of microwave popcorn according to the package instructions. Spray a roasting pan with some nonstick cooking spray and spread the popcorn out once it’s done and set aside.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter on medium heat. Once it’s melted, stir in the brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Turn the burner to high and keep stirring until the mixture boils. Once the mixture boils, turn the heat back to medium and simmer for 5 minutes with occasional stirring. After this, remove the pan from the heat and stir in the baking soda, vanilla extract and peanuts.

Pour the mixture onto the pan of popcorn and mix well. Bake the caramel corn mixture for an hour, removing the pan every 15 minutes to stir the mix. After baking, allow the caramel mixture to cool before breaking into pieces.
