Depending on the kind of the microwave you can have two lights in your microwave. The regular oven will have the oven light on the inside and over the range ones will have the additional night lamp.

Replacing the Oven Light

  • Now remove the vent cover by unscrewing it from the top.
  • Lift up the bulb holder and unscrew the bulb from the holder.

How do I get my Panasonic microwave out of demo mode?

"How do I fix panasonic microwave if my Panasonic microwave in demo mode?"

The demo mode in the microwaves is designed for the display in retail stores. So the microwave would function as usual without any power.

So if your microwave is stuck in the demo mode, it most probably means that you would see it function normally but not heating your food at all. Also, turning the unit on/off will not solve the problem.

Don’t worry; this is not an abnormal behavior, but an intended function. But the question now is that this mode is not useful to you in your home and you need to get rid of this demo mode.

Depending on the design of the microwave there may be different key strokes that can help you get out of the demo mode.

Commonly, if your Panasonic microwave touch pad has a function key, then this is what is used to set the demo mode and come out of it.

In most Panasonic models, the DEMO mode is turned on or off with “Fn + 5” key combination. So if you are stuck in Demo mode, press Fn followed by 5 it will bring you out of it. Other times, it could be Fn + 0 and then Press 1 to turn on the demo mode and 2 to turn it off.

If there is no Fn key on the touch pad then it could be something like tapping the ON or OFF key four times. The best place to get this information would be your owner’s manual. This is a very common problem and is addressed in every Panasonic model manual that supports Demo mode.

Here is the procedure to set the time on the microwave

  • Press the Clock button
  • Now enter the time. Remember that the microwave supports only 12 hour clock, so anything over 12 hours or 60 minutes is incorrect.
  • Press Clock button again.
  • Your time is set.

How to replace inverter module on Panasonic microwave?

"How do I fix panasonic microwave if the inverter broken"

All microwave models running on the Inverter technology are more power efficient which is great. But the inverter technology itself is very complex, and hence has a greater chance of failing.

So failure of inverters in Panasonic microwaves like any other is not uncommon. Most manufacturers discourage the technicians from trying to repair the inverters due to their complexity.

Most times, the manufacturer would supply a new inverter in place of repairing a defective one. So if your inverter is broken down, you should only replace that module and given its technical involvement, it is better to get it done at the service center rather than trying to solve it at home.

The main reason to prefer service center for this problem is that inverters themselves are pretty expensive and you do not want to mess around with something costly.

Secondly, replacing inverter requires you to open the microwave body and meddle with its interiors. Since the microwaves operate at high voltages, it is too risky to try replacing such vital parts by yourself in your house.

Panasonic Microwave starts turning when door opens

"How do I fix panasonic microwave if the door won't close"

This can be a very daunting thing to look at, especially if you have heard about the bad radiations that a microwave oven generates.

You first need to define the problem and observe the microwave behavior closely. When you open the door, for how long does the turn table rotate? Is it just a short turn or a continuous turn?

Short turn of the turn table on opening the door, may not be common behavior, but is normal. There is nothing to panic about that. However, if the turn table doesn’t seem to stop at all, then we have some serious problems.

This would mean that there is a problem with the door itself. Typically the door switch is activated when you open the door, this ensures that the light comes on, turntable is shutdown and microwave is not powered. If this switch is broken or malfunctioning you could see these problems.

Typically, to fix this, just look into the slot where the door latch fits in. There should be a screw that would have come lose or a plastic holder that must have broken.

Many people have managed to fix the screw in some other suitable position in the slot to solve this problem. So try doing that with a butter knife.

If that doesn’t work, you need to take it to the service center to get it repaired. The other reason could be some electrical faults in the circuitry. Even in this case, it is advisable to take it to service center.

But always remember that if it is a problem with the door, do not operate the microwave till it is fixed. Door is vital in preventing the microwaves from escaping the unit. Faulty doors could lead to radiation leakage which is serious hazard.

If any of these problems can't solve your problems, then I would suggest to fix panasonic microwave by taking it to service center.
