Customer reviews
Pros: Great feature, spacious, cooks evenly, quiet operate.
Cons: poor design, has leaked water between the door and the glass. Plastic cover. And one person complain about convenience button is hard to operate, you have to refer to manual all time.
This model use coated on their stainless steel surface, not all stainless steel model has this kind of coated.
Compare with other over the range model
There are many models of frigidaire over the range microwave, and there is also one model that has the same MSRP with this FPMV189KF, called FPBM189KF, so don't make mistake with the number
Frigidaire Microwave Ovens FPBM189KF - Front view compare to Frigidaire FPMV189KF
The difference between them is in the FPBM189KF, the control panel at the bottom of the door so it design to have a horizontal panel, while the FPMV189KF has the control panel side by side with the door, vertical design. Other than their looks, the rest is the same.
The Frigidaire microwave ovens FPMV189KF Model has the most expensive price compare to other models due to its complete feature, If you want to have additional convection feature you can opt in for FGMV154CLF with the extra of only $20 but with less capacity - 1.5 cu ft. But the reason why I don't recommend is because there are 2 customers who complain about this microwave. And after read all the reviews in their official site and amazon.com. I'd still recommend Frigidaire FPMV189KF as one of the best microwave ovens from Frigidaire.
