HMC362 Prescaler - Prescaler is defined as a frequency divider that is commonly used in microwave and radio frequency applications. Prescaler is characterized by the fundamental parameters of its modulus or other termed as divide ratio. Modulus value of fixed modulus prescalers has values equal to an integer of power 2, for instance, 2, 4, 8. This allows the handling capability on the highest input frequency as compared to some of the integer division ratio.
Hittite Microwave had introduced a low noise and divide-by-4 static prescaler with the technology of InGaP GaAs HBT and can operate at the frequency of 12GHz. It features a wide range of operating input window, a low additive SSB phase noise at 100kHz offset of -149dBc/Hz and a selectable option of output power bias. This device can operate from single DC supply of 5.0V with square wave input to 12.0GHz. The HMC632 is ideal in applications of radio, microwave, fiber optic and low noise PLL of VSAT circuit applications.
HMC210MS8(E) Attenuator – is an absorbent voltage variable attenuator in a very small scale and pack in an 8-lead MSOP. The device can function in a positive voltage supply of 2.5 volts together with a positive control voltage. One of the unique features of this product is its high third order of intercept point for all of the attenuation states. An operation on up to 2.3Ghz can be possible but with the reduction of attenuation range of 31dB.
HMC308(E) Amplifier – this low cost amplifier can operate on a single either +3 to +5V supply coming from 0.8 to 3.8GHz. This surface mounted amplifier can be utilized as broadband amplifier stage. Other usage will be with an external matching to get the most out of narrow band applications. Having +5V Vdd bias, the HMC308(E) can provide 18dB gain and a saturated power of +20dBm and it requires only a current of 53mA. This device is then ideal as driver amplifiers for local oscillator or transmitter to increase the drive levels on passive mixers. The size of the amplifier is only 0.014 sq in or 9 sq mm and this is ideal for compact radio applications.
HMC368LP4(E) Multiplier - this multiplier utilizes the GaAs PHEMT technology and is packed in a 4X4 lead-free surface mount. When a +2dBm signal is driving it, the multiplier can provide a +15dBm output power in the range of 9 to 16GHz frequency. The 3Fo isolations and the Fo are in the value of 18dB typical. It has a low additive SSB noise of -140dBc/Hz at the offset of 100kHz and it helps the user to maintain the good noise performance of the system. This device is ideal for applications in LO multiplier chains that allows reduced parts compared to the traditional approach.
