Jobar microwave pressure cookers

I have two. My mother purchased me one over 10 yrs ago. Then when she went into the nursing home, I inherited hers as well. I love these microwave pressure cookers. They are excellent for cooking carrots and potatoes. I have never done meat, but I have done popcorn in there leaving the vents open. They have come in handy for many many kitchen uses.

Do you guys have a catalog? and do you ship to Alaska?

This was my first foray into the world of microwave pressure cooking.

The Jobar worked like a dream. Although I had to modify the recipes a bit and adjust the cooking times it still was much faster and cooler than using the range top or electric pressure cooker.

You can't cook a whole bird in it but hey you going to cut it up in the end anyway right. I have tried everything I could think of in this pressure cooker and so far I have turned out some pretty amazing dishes.

I will admit that at first when the recipes in that tiny booklet did not work I was a bit miffed.

The device actually works more like a crock pot instead of a pressure cooker and when I figured this out I was on my way to cooking heaven.

I like the fact that you can get all the flavor and nutrition locked into the foods just as if you were using a range top or oven model but the in half the time. No longer am I worried at work.

I used to set my electric pressure cooker to come on at a certain time so that when I get home the meal would be almost complete. And I don't know about you but I constantly worried that I would come home and the entire house would be engulfed din flames.

Maybe I am a worry wart but hey with this device, I just prepared the dish in the morning or the night before and leave it in the fridge until I come in. And the first thing I do is put it in the microwave and set it.

It really does work pretty much like the ones you use on the stove; the heat actually circulates inside the pot. Now don't expect to see all the steam from a pressure release valve and from the reviews I have read this is a concern for some.

This is a new item that gives results like a pressure cooker not a pressure cooker that goes into the microwave. If you remember this you will not be disappointed.
