Kenmore Microwave Recall

How to Claim
Kenmore Microwave Recall

On 5th December 2007, GE announced that it would be recalling all the units of Kenmore microwaves due to a fire threat associated with the unit.

This defect is supposedly found only in the Built-In Combination and Microwave Ovens that were sold between January 2000 and December 2003.

The Problem

It has been observed that the door switch can overheat while the microwave is functioning and this can potentially cause fires.

The Company had advised all customers to stop using it with immediate effect due to safety concerns. Overall it is estimated that GE had recalled 92000 faulty units.

The real problem is mainly with the combo unit. The lower oven functionality is still safe and could be used without any risk.
