LG LMV2015

LG LMV2015 - A Product Review

The LG microwave oven LMV2015 is an exceptionally designed microwave with superb ventilation.

Some customer went in for this model because of the quietpower vent that this microwave has. Another reason for was the undoubted good looks of this piece. But that's only the beginning of the plus points of this oven.

Positive points:

With it's lovely rounded window and incredible aesthetics, this oven certainly scores for drop dead good looks.

But looks aren't everything, and this oven has a great deal of ability as well. It defrosts well, and the microwave function works well too, but it's with the convention system that this oven really shines.

You can pop a chicken into the microwave – yes, a whole chicken, and in three quarters of an hour it'll be a crisp and utterly delicious brown on the outside and delicately tender white meat on the inside.

Baked potatoes take just about ten minutes or so, and on completely automatic settings. And of course this oven has both the capacity and the power to handle just about any cooking need.

Cooking times at higher power levels are very fast indeed. The manual and documentation is great and make installation and use a breeze.

Oh, and best of all (REALLY the best of all) the core of the device, the magnetron, has a ten year cover-all warranty. This was the buying point for me – I didn't find a single other microwave that could match this.

Negative aspects:

Though the oven works well with most food, I found that frozen pizza turned out rather soggy.

However, there's a workaround to this – go for the defrost option first, and make sure that your pizza is perfectly defrosted through and through.

Then go for a cook setting (a little playing around and experimentation will tell you what the best settings are) and pretty soon you'll be making great pizza with a perfect crust.

But the default settings for frozen pizza do not work. Perhaps another thing that people might find objectionable is that the fan tends to make a loud sound when it first starts up – however this doesn't last long, just about ten seconds or so, and then it soon quiets down. It's perfectly possible to ignore it, especially considering the superb ventilation that fan provides.

Features:

So what are the best features on this device?

  • It's aesthetics, which have to be seen to be believed.
  • It's super cooking capabilities, especially for convection cooking.
  • The quiet but extremely powerful ventilation system.
  • Sensors and presets
  • A lamp for warming food.

Conclusion:

All in all, I'd call LG LMV2015 an excellent buy, with a combination of looks and power, and best of all, the ability to turn out highly edible meals.

It's designed to fit over the range, and ventilation is crucial, and here this oven comes in with ten stars.

Lastly, subtle humidity sensors tell you just when the food is perfectly done, which makes for absolutely perfect meals.
