This is one of the recipes actually turns out better in microwave than the electric oven.

The mild flavored squash get its name from the fact that the interior, when cooked, separates into a glorious golden tangle of long spaghetti-like strands. The larger the spaghetti squash, the thicker and more flavorful the strands.

With a microwave you can make your spaghetti squash in a matter of minutes – depending on the microwave specifications.

Please Note

Make sure that you purchase squash that fits in the microwave and rotate
Do not poke the squash to avoid blasts while cooking it
Always wash the squash, but dry it well prior to cooking

Microwave Spaghetti Squash Recipe

Microwave Spaghetti Squash Preparation : 20 minutes
Cook : 15 minutes
Microwave : 10 minutes
Stand : 5 minutes
Makes : 6 servings

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped medium onion
1/2 cup chopped small green sweet pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
14 1/2 ounces can diced tomato, undrained
8 ounce can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 1/2 tablespoons dried Italian seasoning, crushed
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 recipe cooked spaghetti squash
1/4 shredded Parmesan cheese (1 ounce)

Instruction

Add ground beef, sweet pepper, garlic, onion and meat in a saucepan and cook until the meat is brown. After that drain it.
Now add tomato paste, Italian seasoning, black pepper, tomato sauce and undrained diced tomatoes to it.
let the sauce to boil, then reduce heat
Simmer and uncovered for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally

How to make spaghetti squash

Prick the whole spaghetti squash (around 2-1/2 to 3 pound) in several places with a knife.
Place it in a microwave safe baking dish. uncovered
Microwave for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender on high power (100%).
set it on the table and let it cool for 5 minutes.
Cut the squash into 2 same part and remove the seeds.
Now using 2 forks, shred and separate the squash pulp into strands.
