Brownies are great treats for dessert after a good dinner. But making them after dinner is not something that most people would do – but if it is not cooked after dinner you will have to make do with cold hard brownies.



The use of microwave making baking brownies simple and quick – so you can enjoy hot brownies after dinner with minimal efforts. Another plus -- This recipe, although very rich tasting is relatively low in fat.

Ingredients

  • Non stick cooking spray
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened Ducth process cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup unbleached all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnut

Instructions

  • Coat the inside of the 8" square glass baking dish with cooking spray
  • Whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, and flour in a medium mixing bowl
  • Whisk together the cooled melted butter, eggs and vanilla in a large mixing bowl
  • With the wooden spoon , stir in a flour mixture until well combined
  • Scrape the batter into the prepare dish.
  • Microwave on high until brownies are just set in the center, 4 to 7 minutes, depending on the power and size on your oven.
  • Let the brownies cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes
  • Cut the brownies into 16 squares and serve immediately

Because this recipes is easy to make, this is perfect for kids, seven and older, who like to cook. They can measure and mix all the ingredients and scrape the batter into the baking dish.
