Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
Beat the eggs and vanilla essence
Stir in the flour and baking powder
Spoon into the baking dish
Microwave for 4 minutes on full power
Leave to stand for 10 minutes before turning out

If you want to make microwave chocolate cake, you can change the vanilla essence into 30 g unsweetened cocoa powder.
