Mini microwave oven

If space is the matter
then get yourself a Mini Microwave Ovens

As technology advances and many of us start spending less and less time at home, the need to miniaturize certain items in order to make them portable became quite pressing. That’s how we got such indispensable gadgets like cell phones and laptops and now mini microwave ovens.

These are exactly what their name implies, they are smaller version of the reasonably larger ones that everybody has on their kitchen countertop, and just like those models they come with pretty much the same pros and cons with a few minor but crucial differences at the same time.

We called it mini microwave if its capacity below 0.5 cu ft.

Pros and cons about having mini microwave ovens

Most of these mini microwave ovens are very close to their kitchen countertop counterparts in regards to power so heating times shouldn’t differ that much. Since these are smaller units, they can fit where a normal sized microwave oven wouldn’t, especially if space is at a premium. These units are specially created in order to be portable as well, most of them coming with a handle for ease of transportation, but this also means that they come with various options as to how you can power them up if you find yourself in a place with a wall socket. This makes them ideal travel companions for people with RVs or who like to camp a lot or go fishing on a boat, these ovens come with cables ready to be hooked up to car batteries, or cigarette lighters, or DC sockets.

The mini microwave ovens also share the disadvantages of their larger kitchen counterparts with the added problem of size. They are indeed small and this means that you can only fit so much food into one, so food that in your home would require one go in the microwave might take twice as much in a mini microwave oven.

Since they’re smaller, some of them are sometimes smaller in regards to their power output as well, so this means that things might take a longer while to heat up or defrost while using them. You can’t have something for nothing, so what you lose in terms of speed and volume, you get back in versatility, portability and storage space.

It features a great defrosting feature which doesn’t let your meat cook around the edges leaving it frozen solid in the middle. It also features a great Instant Popcorn button which is guaranteed to make great popcorn every time you use it.

Beanzawave - The Smallest Microwave Oven

Beanzawave mini microwave ovenThe smallest mini microwave today is the Beanzawave, a sort of novelty super mini microwave created be Heinz, the world famous producer of great ketchup and baked beans, which features the extreme dimensions of 15cm x 16cm x 19 cm.

This mini microwave oven is meant to be portable and it’s meant to be powered via a USB port on a PC or laptop. This means that this tiny piece of technology can sit on your desk while connected to your computer and heat you a decent sized meal or a cup of coffee; that is what it was designed for, allowing extremely busy and stressed individuals the possibility of not skipping their lunch break.

It’s worth to mention that this microwave is still in the prototype stages and it’s not well known if it will ever reach the market, but if it will its potential price tag of $165 might be a little too much considering that’s what you’d pay for a full sized microwave, let alone a portable one.
