I got this microwave because Consumer Reports liked it and it was on sale. It’s plenty big and heats evenly with the 15-inch turntable.

The door open button has to be pushed kinda hard, but overall it’s a great microwave.

It has all the pre-programmed buttons for popcorn and etc, plus delayed start, a timer, and a pop-out dial for easy programming.

The stainless steel is a little harder to keep clean than I thought, but it looks really great.

Bought this unit in April 2010. used this unit and 3 weeks after the warranty expired, so did the microwave. Had a Sears Kenmore that ran since 1988 with two minor switch replacements and 1 fuse. Not impressed with Panasonic microwave Model NN-SD997S.

Code display seems to indicate bad magnetron and the fine folks at Panasonic say I can get it replaced under warranty, I just have to ship the unit to a certified repair center and pay the shipping, this thing is not light. Sorry I bought it, really enjoyed its features.
