Not a Great Deal

Not a Great Deal

I bought this sharp microwave ovens about a year ago and have never been fully pleased with it. It was a cheap deal, and since I got it on clearance I figured I couldn't really complain, but honestly, I think it's time for an upgrade.

The microwave is hard to program, first of all, and the screen that reads the time is too small. A strange feature also is the fact that the keys aren't raised at all, which makes it really easy to push one button instead of the other.

It also sounds horrible when it beeps, sort of like it's running out of power. The inside is roomy enough, but the food that I cook inside (mostly reheating leftovers) never seems to be uniformly hot throughout.

It seems like the sort of microwave that would be good for a dorm room, or for someone that only uses it to make popcorn. All in all, I wouldn't purchase it again, even if it was on sale, as for just a few more dollars you can get a pretty decent one with more features. It's very basic, not very powerful, and the most redeeming feature was its $50 price tag.
