Automatic Solutions

There are three main computerised features in Sharp 930 microwave: CompuBroil, CompuRoast and CompuBake.

Each mode offers a unique solution akin to its title and you can get detailed information about each in the operator’s manual.

  • CompuBroil: This is mainly for broiling meat and seafood. The settings are pretty simple and easy to operate.
  • CompuRoast: This is ideal for chicken and turkey. You can set the temperature as well as weight with the number pad and start roasting. The unit also preheat to the desired temperature before you put the meat in.
  • CompuBake: This is perfect for cakes, brownies and even baked fries. Again, you can set the temperature you want to bake the food in and leave it at that.

The unit comes with two racks: high and low. Depending on whether you are baking or roasting, you need to choose the right rack.

Instant Cooking Features

While automatic selections are great, they may not be used as often as reheating or popping corns.

Hence, this model has two instant cooking buttons too; both are sensor operated.

These are the Sensor Reheat and Sensor Popcorn. Just press the button and the microwave starts heating.

As soon as the vapour from the food is detected, the time remaining will flash.

You need not bother with trying to keep adding seconds to the timer, the microwave will do it of for you.

Other Features

The microwave itself is a perfect countertop model with ample capacity (1.5 cu. ft.) and commensurate power too (900W).

The heater of baking and roasting can operate as high as 1450W delivering the perfect results.

The microwave comes with sensor cooking solution which can automatically adjust the cooking time and power depending on the water vapour content in the cavity.

It also has automatic and sensor triggered defrost and reheating feature respectively.

Customization Possible

While the automatic features are great for the novice users, once you starting using this model, you would soon realise that this is probably all that you need in your kitchen.

At that stage you may start experimenting with manual settings and this is where the Sharp 930 can become truly versatile.

You can adjust the settings manually to suit your unique cooking needs.

Sharp 930 scores even on this front too; it comes in three colors: Smooth Black, Smooth White and Stainless Steel.

Other Accessories

The most important accessory you would need is the rack. You can get both the high rack and the low rack for your roasting and baking needs.

Sharp also sells a host of high quality Nordic Ware cookware to make the whole microwave cooking experience enjoyable and effective. You can buy almost everything from corn poppers to bacon trays.

There are built in kits available for Sharp R-930. For Sharp R930AK, The trim kits model is RK-66A. For Sharp R930 AW, trim kit model is RK-66WB and for Sharp R930CS, the trim mit model is RK-93S27 and RK-93S30.

You can also purchase trim kits and spare turn tables for maintenance purposes.
