Models of Thermador Microwave Ovens

Currently there are 2 type of Thermador built in microwave, The traditional and the convection one. The traditional one is more larger than the convection one. We will discuss about it more details in below;

The traditional MBES Stainless steel is a 2.1 cu ft and 1200 watt stainless steel microwave oven that has most of the features other microwave got. You name it, quick defrost, quick warm, sensor cook, smart sensor, keep warm, 10 power levels. While their convection only has 1.5 cu ft with 1000 watt for microwave and 1400 watt for the oven. Look closer at their control panel for details;

Above, we can see clearly the difference between them. Traditional has sensor cook and smart sensor with inverter technology, while the convection has convection bake, auto cooking plus cake and pie with one button.

Smart sensor feature helps you to reheat food without setting the time and power. Just click the pad and you're done. While sensor cook allow you to cook without setting the time and power. There are 4 option from breakfast, lunch, dinner to side dish. For example, for breakfast, you have oatmeal, breakfats sausage and omelet. You can have the details of each food in their manual

If you buy the convection one, you'll have this sensor cook option in their "auto cooking" button. Just press auto cooking and the number (1 to 9). for example no. 1 for oatmeal, no. 2 for beverage, no. 3 for soup and so on. you can find more details about the food in their manual. But of course the type of the food you can choose is different.

Beverage features allow you to reheat 1 and 2 cups to temperature room without setting time and power

Convection bake feature can help you make choice of baking in temperature from 93 to 232 degree celcius in 14 degree increments. But before you do the baking, you need to preheat the oven first.

Similar feature between them are: keep warm, quick defrost, more/less, popcorn, quick min, delay start, timer function and setting, which you can set your preference language, weight (lb or kg), child lock, beep reminder, word speed, daylight saving, clock, and demo mode.
