Microwave Technology at its Best

Microwave ovens have definitely become mainstays of the kitchen in most homes today. They are an indispensable appliance, and no one understands that better than Whirlpool.

Whirlpool has one of the most advanced microwave ovens today, showcasing technologies and innovations that will impress any home owner.

If you have a Whirlpool microwave oven, you can rely on many years of research and experience that has enabled the company to provide the most advanced line of ovens fit for the needs of the typical family. Although Whirlpool started out as a company manufacturing washing machines in Michigan, it slowly grew to become a reputable brand producing only the best home and kitchen appliances. With its annual sales of $12 billion, it remains one of the world's leaders in appliances.

There is a wide range of selection of microwave ovens offered by Whirlpool. They come in three general types: countertop, range-hood and combination models. There are also microwave hood combination models with convection and grill features.

Now, what technologies can we expect from a Whirlpool microwave oven?

Jet Defrost System.

Most Whirlpool microwave ovens such as the Linear AMW510, Fusion AMW575 and the Essence AMW518 Perfect Chef, and the Max 28 feature the Jet Defrost system which allows defrosting up to 7 times faster than the conventional microwave we know.

Whirlpool Crisp System.

All current Whirlpool microwave models feature the Special Crisp System, a technology that allows even and healthy cooking, without the danger of burning and with little or no fat or oil. This is made possible through 3 heat sources: a crisp plate made of ferrite, frill and microwaves, so you can have the perfect, crispy top and bottom for pizzas, pies and quiches.

CleanRelease Non-Stick Interior Coating (industry's first).

Models such as the Jet Saveur VT265 and VT266, as well as the Family Chef FT339 features the first ever non-stick interior coating for a microwave oven. This makes cleanup very easy - simply wipe the interiors with a wet cloth (no cleaning solutions or detergent needed) and your oven is sparkling clean again.

6th Sense Steam and Sensor Cooking.

The 6th Sense technology allows you to cook with confidence. This technology in Whirlpool microwave ovens feature built-in sensor monitors that checks the humidity level and adjusts the temperature and time needed for the cooking process.

Jet Stream Forced Air Cooking.

Models such as the Jet Chef JT358 and JT359 and the Essence Perfect Chef AMW578 and AMW588 feature this patented "forced convection" cooking process. These microwave ovens cook just like that in a conventional oven but assisted by powerful microwaves for more efficient cooking.

3D Emission System.

This is a revolutionary technology that assures you that the microwave energy is distributed evenly within the cooking cavity. This means your food is cooked thoroughly and evenly.

Whirlpool Microwave Features

Aside from these technologies, Whirlpool microwave ovens also offer typical features such as child lock, memory function, staged cooking, warm hold cycle. Touch control system, and so on.

Full combination microwave ovens by Whirlpool offer convection baking that deliver the same results as can be expected in a conventional oven, but 30% faster.

Most Whirlpool microwaves are also designed with a vent system to help you maintain a clean and odor-free kitchen. Whirlpool combination microwaves also bring grilling indoors through heating elements made of quartz to brown and grill your food evenly.

Whirlpool microwave ovens come in a wide range of design and sizes. It comes in stainless steel, white, black or patented silver/Satina mist.

Colorful Whirlpool Microwave Oven

Whirlpool Microwave Ovens Max Whirlpool Microwave Ovens

Whirlpool have decided to add a splash of colour to your kitchen by introducing a new range of colourful and fun yet sleek and stylish microwaves to replace the traditional black or white version that we have all grown so used to seeing and buying.

The MAX range aims to provide good looking, trendy microwaves whilst retaining high functionality so that it is suitable and appealing for everyone regardless of cooking expertise and whether you are a student or a budding chef.

The people at Whirlpool have also thought about the consumer’s main concern when purchasing a microwave which is the amount of space that the appliance will take up on the kitchen work surface as, let’s face it, a microwave can be rather bulky, space consuming and dull appliance. The MAX microwave therefore has an innovative rounded back design so that it can be placed neatly into small spaces and corners without affecting the internal capacity.

The interior space in this range is 23 litres which is the same as you would get from a typical microwave and you can fit a full sized dinner plate on the 28cm large turntable so there is nothing to compromise on.

The range will feature many colours to try and suit most consumer’s styles and taste including the more traditional black, silver and cream and the not-so-conventional red and purple.

All of the colours will have a black flat screen door to complete the stylish effect and they will be easy to use with a control panel with intuitive touch screen which will allow you to choose your desired action quickly and easily.

If being healthy appeals to you, the Whirlpool MAX 35 model is ideal for you as it has a Steam function and comes with a special steaming pot so that you can make healthy food quickly whilst retaining all of the natural flavour and nutrients which are usually lost during the cooking process. It’s fantastic because you can get the best out of your vegetables, meat or fish in less time than it would have taken you if you were using a regular steamer. This microwave is so great that it has been awarded as the WHICH? Best Buy in the Microwaves category in April 2011.

If having crispy food sounds more appealing then the Whirlpool MAX 38 model is a good option as it features a 'Crisp' function. It comes with a unique Crisp plate so that your bacon, chips, pizza, chicken, roast potatoes etc. all come out perfectly crispy every time.
